Re: LitePlacer CNC Mill Conversion

Do you have any videos of it operating you could post on Youtube or something similar?

SOLD Assembled working Liteplacer, includes computer

Hard to do, but I'm finally ready to sell. I bought it at the end of 2016 but just don't use it as much as I thought I would, plus we're getting one at work that I can use. For the most part it's stock, includes the automatic nozzle changer. I also upgraded the up-camera with mrandt's hexagonal came...

Re: Tape Strip Holders

Perhaps the feeder itself could detect the pressure from the nozzle and advance the tape after a delay. That would be relatively simple to implement with a micro controller and and requires no software changes.

Upgraded tinyg 12V regulator

Like some others, I've found that the 12V regulator on the TinyG operates quite hot when running a fan, ring lights, etc. I replaced it with a switching regulator (R-78C12-1.0) and now it's barely warm even when loaded with a fan (~300mA) and two upgraded ringlights (~300mA each). Removing the 7812 ...

Re: Pickup tube o rings lubricate?

I use Krytox. Expensive stuff (if I didn't have tubes of it all over at work) but a little goes a long way and it basically never needs to be reapplied.

Re: Hexagonal LED light and up camera case

I removed the C270's green LED and used the contacts to feed the optoisolator's input, the output pulls the gate of a N-channel MOSFET up to 12V and turns on the LEDs. Now THAT'S clever (Digs out soldering iron again) Thanks, it was one of those "aha" moments as I was removing the green L...

Re: Hexagonal LED light and up camera case

You can get the LEDs from almost any distributor, I used Digi-key as they're close to me and shipping is fast. Part number is 475-1185-1-ND. I found that the 22 ohm resistors were too low and at 12V the current was nearly 80mA per section/LED. Fortunately none burned out, but I increased resistance ...

Re: Tape Strip Holders

John, Sent you a PM, but I figured I would post here as well. Would you be willing to share the Fusion 360 files with me? I'd like to make a few minor changes to suit my own use and don't really want to remodel everything. I can share the files back with you, post on here, whatever you prefer.
