Re: Up Camera Calibration

This function has been in one of the forks for years and it's also documented as a feature request: https://github.com/jkuusama/LitePlacer-DEV/issues/30 Determining pixel-to-mm ratios for down and up camera by moving gantry and measuring effective homing mark / needle move with computer vision; way ...

Re: Strip Feeders

Hi santosp. Thanks for your interest :-) Unfortunately, I do not have the capacity to make any of those feeders at the moment. All the design files are shared on my website, so feel free to make your own. If you don't have a 3D printer, you might be able to CNC something similar; see Zach's video fo...

Re: SMD Parts Tray Shoot Out: Who's the Winner?

Robert, your solution looks very clean and is probably very effective, too :-D Could you post a picture which shows the reel holders as well? To me that is an interesting aspect; always concerned with the workflow to "refill" the holders... Can I assume that your setup (at least the board ...

Re: How do you handle SOIC chips from tubes?

Currently I move them from the tube to a 3D printed, custom tray.

If I needed larger volumes, I'd try to replicate Brian's vibratory feeder:

Re: SMD Parts Tray Shoot Out: Who's the Winner?

Hi Manfred. I am using your holder WITH index pins. I drilled a full grid of holes using a 3d printed drill template leading to 4 rows with 3 of your trays. I have considered drilling holes into the table surface to do the same - but have not done it yet. How do you handle the "relocation offse...

Re: SMD Parts Tray Shoot Out: Who's the Winner?

I don't know right now about different heights of different trays. If it doesn't matter (not into it that far yet) then these will work great for 8mm paper tape parts. It does matter though. If you want to use downcam to find the strips, you should make sure to have them in the same plane as the PC...

Re: Down camera rotates in housing

Try fixing the cable with glue (silicon or hot glue should work) where it exits the tube.

I think the better solution is to replace the camera - also in terms of resolution, distortion, field of view and frame rate.

Material information: Stainless Steel Sheet, 0.8mm thickness, EN 1.4016, sanded (K240), magnetic I bought the stainless steel from a metal shop in Germany: http://designbleche.de/ However I am sure, you can get similar material in many places. I had the stainless steel sheet cut to order. You are co...

Re: Liteplacer table

I don't suppose you could share the list of things that must be purchased to build the table you have? I saw the link to easy-systemprofile.de You did such a fantastic job with the PnP table shown in the picture, that I'd really love to build one just like that for my Liteplacer. Thank you for the ...

Re: Low budget version

Hi Andre, what benefit do you expect from that? If you buy anything in small quantities, it will be more expensive than buying in bulk. I have built my machine "pre-alpha" before Juha's kit became available. That meant I had to source all the parts myself. I ended up paying more than Juha ...
