Re: X-axis offset

It does seem that the issues are either slack in the bearings and/or wobble on the nozzles. Any slack in bearings is supposed to be taken off by the tension of the rotation belt in x direction and by the flat spring in y direction. There should not be much to begin with. You can check this by hand; ...

Re: X-axis offset

There are several calibration parameters that can affect this. There are also tools to find out what the issue might be. At first, it might be beneficial to disable nozzle runout (wobble) correction. You do that on Run Job page, "Don't use nozzle correction" checkbox. If your system doesn'...

Re: Repeatability more than 1mm offset after 2 times TestXY?

The test functions are simple: If the machine is at home mark, the machine is moved at machine limit set at machine size boxes. If machine is elsewhere, it is moved to zero. Apparently you have some slack in your system. Please check that the pulley set screws are tight and the belt attachments are ...

With power off, there is some resistance, but the axis should move relatively easily, like pushing with one or two fingers. > I entered 1 each in the fields for acceleration and speed and the motors make strange noises, especially the X-axi...

Re: Repeatability more than 1mm offset after 2 times TestXY?

The moving parts are so light that the motors are unlikely to skip. If they are driven too hard, they tend to stall, and that is easy to notice. More likely, something is skipping. Please look at the bolts that fix the parts that connect to the belt and tighten if needed, including the motor fixing ...

Re: Centering of Components

Hi, > "Place with up camera assist" option; Wherein i noticed that it is doing a correction only rotationally. This should do position correction also. If you think that this doesn't work, first please review and document your findings. The next chapter (from the instructions) might help y...

Re: TinyG firmware support in the LitePlacer Application?

The gcode command M115 is generally used for board identification. Apparently, the newest TinyG software gives different result than the previous firmware versions. This will be easy to fix, and you give enough information that I can go that. I’ll get back to you when I’m released from hospital (I h...

Re: accuracy question

I tried it on earlier version of the machine: https://liteplacer.com/experiments-with-0201-resistors/ . I’m not sure if up looking camera assisted placement would improve the accuracy, but the current version has a problem that it uses Panasonic CP40 series nozzles. The smallest is still too large f...
