Re: Error when homing...

Hi again, and also replying to myself... With the "software limits exceeded" error message in mind I just had a look at the TinyG error codes and Gcodes and found something related to "soft and hard limits". So I just checked how the tinyG was set and sure enough the soft limits ...

Error when homing...

Hi Juha, it's been a while that I fired the Liteplacer. I have a new projet board to place so I updated to the last SW release and fired the Liteplacer on. I then got the following error message: {"er":{"fb":438.02,"st":220,"msg":"Soft limit exceeded"...

Re: Unable to place 01005 :-(

Regarding the second set of needle/downcam offset correction, it just occured to me that it would be simpler to have an additional offset vector that defaults to (0,0). With that default null value, the software would behave exactly as originally intended and the values would be easy to set. Regards...

Re: Unable to place 01005 :-(

Hi Juha and Malte, thanks a lot for your detailed answers, that helped make some progress. Some updates... It happens that there were at least two problems, one of which has been easily cleared: the needle runout calibration was at fault. Looking carefully the log while calibrating I saw the followi...

Unable to place 01005 :-(

Hi Juha and everybody, first of all, I would like to wish a happy new 2017 year with lots of reliably, trouble free and accurately placed SMDs, as well as many Liteplacers sold to Juha. Now, I have to say that the post title was a bit provocative to catch attention because my post will be somewhat l...

Re: Software release, 10/28/2016

Hi Juha, > Unfortunately the log is uniformative as can be: For you maybe, but I know exactly where it gets stuck. The "why" puzzles me, I haven't touched that part of the software for a long time. If you have spare time and want to help: - Reboot, just in case there are hanging processes ...

Re: Software release, 10/28/2016

I get a Timeout box with a "Debug: CNC_BlockingWrite: Timeout on command {"sr":""} " message. Unfortunately the log is uniformative as can be: Application Start Version: 1.0.6145.31820, build date: 28/10/2016 17:40:40 Reading v2 format file C:\Applis\LitePlacer\LitePlac...

Re: Software release, 10/28/2016

Hi Juha,

this release has something broken. :?

It can't connect to the machine. (checked by reverting back to the previous release -2016/10/12 - which connects normally)

Needles size vs package...

Hi again, on that small board I spoke about there are regions packed with 0402 components (resistors and ceramics, so no same height) and I anticipate some difficulties with needle to components interference: * too small there might be some pb with component release : with the purple needle the 0402...

No tape feeder, how to?

Hi all, after some fighting I'm trying to ramp up (well, that's a big word :) ) the LitePlacer for the job I bought it for, namely a small batch of 10 boards with 200 components per side, loads of 0402/0603/0805 and others semiconds, MSOPs, SC70/SC75, etc... The first attemps are worrisome, and cert...
