Re: My problems with limit switches - my assembly progress

Check one basic thing: Are your belts tight? I recently build a 3D printer that worked very well for the first week. Then print quality began to erode. Tightening the belts brought it back. They stretch a lot when first installed, then settle in a bit. May be unrelated, but on a physically new machi...

Man, I am with you! And they are cheap enough that I may toss the ones I have. Maybe. :)

Re: Are we doing needle calibration right?

I also use a bunch of different source control systems, and struggled with Git. For me to understand it, I had to make two throw-away email addresses, create a repository under one, fork it from the other email, pull that back, etc, etc. Sounds complicated, but actually saved time in the long run. Re: My problems with limit switches - my assembly progress

For future reference: Changing the wiring is absolutely an OK way to fix the direction of an axis. It is also OK to reverse that axis in your TinyG configuration, and then save that configuration. Re: Placing components do not work

Can you post your "hello world.csv"? I know it is downloaded from here... but I'd still like to see it. I noticed some oddities in different versions that I've downloaded.

Re: PictureBox Crashes

Sounds like this may be fixed... but here's another data point that I did not realize until tonight: Even after a "Red X", if you hit continue, everything still works. The machine can find holes, place, etc. You just can't see it on the human display.

Re: My problems with limit switches

I also had a LOT of fun as I got each axis moving. I would play with the machine a lot on that axis before doing the work for the next set of switches or whatever.

It is absolutely great to see it moving.

Re: PictureBox Crashes

> Every single time I've gotten a Red X and/or dialog box indicating a crash, it has been when I am loading a "Run Job" file. This helps, probably. Anything indicating what you did to get the X is a clue. After having intensely used the software for setup and calibration yesterday, it is ...
