Re: If there are no fudicials
Glad it worked in your case. In general, you do want to use copper features for fiducials, since the silkscreen printing might have alignment issues with the pads. apparently, your manufacturer doesn't. Completely understood and agreed. Fiducials have copper in them as an industry standard so that ...

Re: OpenPNP vs LitePlacer
I'm currently "Sticking" with Liteplacer software due to my investment in "Learning Curve". At some point, I may look at OpenPNP, when I have some free time. Why Liteplacer first? Because I wanted to understand the "Factory" offering before moving on. As an aside, I am ...

Re: If there are no fudicials
Doh! I just realized that nearly every component on my existing board has an orientation dot. These are very small, but they work fine.
Once I started using 4 of these, spread way around the board, placement accuracy went WAY up. Wow, it's pretty nice when something works as designed...

Re: Clear Tape is driving me nuts!
Update for others with the same issue: I am using the "Anondstar" microscope for a down camera. I modified the kit provided mount to hold the Anondstar. My initial build had the kit provided LED ring against the bottom of the mount, and then a couple of diffusers (from the provided paper)....

Re: PictureBox Crashes
Update if it helps debug: The release posted July 5th seems to be MUCH more stable. Every single time I've gotten a Red X and/or dialog box indicating a crash, it has been when I am loading a "Run Job" file. Again, it is about 10 times more stable than it was... and this is making setup mu...

Re: A-axis thermal runaway
Hmmm.... mine is remaining cool to the touch, in a 22 or 23 degree room. I have the current dialed WAY down... just set it by eye at about one third of travel... and it works just fine like that.

Re: Clear Tape is driving me nuts!
Oh, at the moment, these holes are overlapping white paper ruler. The table (anti static mat) color is visible through the other part of the tape.

Re: Clear Tape is driving me nuts!
First, let me say it is working MUCH BETTER this morning as I try to capture the screenshots of not finding a hole. I believe this is because of daylight in the room. This tells me my diffusers and LED ring need work. Second, to be clear, I am using the Anondstar "microscope" camera. One o...

Re: Clear Tape is driving me nuts!
Thanks, those are good hints. The table is light blue anti static mat. I've also tried a ruler (white paper). I believe my diffusers are indeed a large part of the problem, inconsistent lighting around the holes as the angle of the plastic changes slightly along the length. I will mess with diffuser...
