Homing the 'A' axis

Post by LesGrant »

Hi,

It is easy to home X, Y and Z but how do we 'home' (zero) the A rotation axis?
My solution so far (I am new to Liteplacer) is to manually rotate A then reset the TinyG and do another Home.
Is there an easier way? If not, could we have an 'A0' button please - possibly in the co-ordinate area that is on every screen?
It would only reset the A value to 0.000. Maybe you could shorten the existing large 'Home' button and add a small square 'A0' button?

Thanks.
Regards,
Les Grant.

The recommended way is to mark the big pulley and have a look at it before starting the machine. If it is not at the correct position, turn it manually. You can disable motor power at the basic setup page; doing that allows you to turn it, no reset is needed, but re-homing needs to be done.

Having a button to set A=0 shouldn't be a big deal, so you can jog it to position and click that also. A good idea. thank you!
